Sebastian Aho has powered the Carolina Hurricanes through an uneven 1-1-1 start to the 2026-27 season by recording three goals and four points in three games. Aho led Carolina to their first victory on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers, scoring two goals and assisting Shayne Gostisbehere's overtime game-winner on the power play.
With forward Seth Jarvis sidelined with an injury until late October or December, Carolina is relying heavily on Aho. His early scoring run also saw him break an Eric Staal franchise record by scoring his 50th career game-opening goal just 10 seconds into the Flyers matchup.
