Sebastian Aho has sparked the Carolina Hurricanes' early campaign with three goals and four points across the first three games of the 2026-27 NHL season. Following opening losses to the Florida Panthers and Washington Capitals, Aho registered two goals and an assist on Shayne Gostisbehere's overtime winner to secure a 3-2 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers on October 3.
Zach Martin reports that Aho's strong play is stabilizing the Hurricanes while forward Seth Jarvis remains sidelined with an injury until at least late October. With his first goal against Philadelphia, Aho also broke Eric Staal's franchise record by scoring his 50th career game-opening goal.
