Former Springbok Women head coach Swys de Bruin has made the next move in his coaching career.

Paarl Boys’ High has announced the appointment of former Springbok Women head coach Swys de Bruin as the school’s new head of coaching. Alongside his appointment, former Springbok and Scarlets lock George Earle was named as the new 1st XV head coach, replacing Sean Erasmus, who departed to join Maties.
De Bruin takes over the role previously held by his son Neil, who joined Johan Ackermann’s coaching staff at the Bulls. De Bruin previously guided the Springbok Women to their first World Cup quarter-final appearance in 2025 and dismissed claims that his national exit involved a bonus dispute.
