Washington Wizards center Alex Sarr participated fully in Monday's practice nearly four months after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured right foot. Sarr advanced from partial participation during the first five days of training camp to full live 5-on-5 drills. Head coach Brian Keefe noted that Sarr remains in the ramp-up phase of his recovery as he targets a return for opening night.
Keefe did not confirm whether Sarr will play in Thursday's preseason opener against the New York Knicks. However, Keefe ruled out Tristan Vukcevic due to a hip injury and Jamir Watkins due to an ACL tear. Newly acquired guard Tre Mann also addressed his willingness to embrace whatever role the coaching staff requires.
