It could be bad news for everyone involved if the Los Angeles Lakers remain committed to playing Bronny James at the point guard position.

The Los Angeles Lakers have faced criticism over their plan to utilize Bronny James as a point guard. While head coach JJ Redick and James have stated that the guard will take on primary ball-handling duties, LakeShowLife writer Tyler Watts warned that James is ill-suited for the position. Watts argued that the franchise risks wasting valuable minutes and that James should instead focus on perimeter shooting and defense.
James has averaged 1.1 assists and 8.1 minutes across 69 career appearances over his first two NBA seasons. While the Lakers guaranteed his contract for the upcoming campaign, Heavy insider Sean Deveney reported that rival teams have shown interest, noting a trade for draft assets remains possible.
