Milwaukee Bucks guard Tyler Herro revealed that he was "kind of pushing" for a trade from the Miami Heat to Milwaukee during the offseason. Speaking on SiriusXM with Frank Isola and Brian Scalabrine, the Wisconsin native explained that he sought a fresh start and a return home. His comments provide new insight into the blockbuster deal that sent superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami.
Herro was traded in a package alongside Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, and draft assets, while Bobby Portis accompanied Antetokounmpo to Miami. Herro also recalled a "lockout day" in Miami near the February trade deadline when the organization believed a deal was imminent. The Heat will host Herro and the Bucks in their first regular-season meeting on November 18.
