Los Angeles Clippers guard Max Strus suffered a partial tear of his right plantar fascia on Sunday during a 104-101 preseason victory over the Golden State Warriors in Honolulu. The team announced Monday that Strus will be sidelined for at least four weeks, ruling him out for the start of the regular season.

Strus, who joined the Clippers in an August trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers, sustained the non-contact injury less than five minutes into Sunday's game. This marks the third straight season he will miss opening night, adding to an extensive injury list that includes Brandon Ingram and Bradley Beal.
