As the Dodgers mull potential lineup changes for Game 3 of the NLDS, manager Dave Roberts said he is “open” to moving Shohei Ohtani lower in the batting order.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated he is open to dropping Shohei Ohtani lower in the batting order ahead of Game 3 of the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves. Roberts acknowledged that Ohtani is dealing with knee and arm injuries and is not at 100 percent health, though any potential change would be discussed with Ohtani first.
Ohtani has struggled at the plate, remaining without a home run since August 18 and collecting two hits in eight at-bats during the NLDS. With Atlanta starting left-handed ace Chris Sale, Roberts is also considering other lineup adjustments, including starts for Kiké Hernández and Miguel Rojas.
