“Ready for a Fight”: Manny Machado Fires Back at MLB Legend Over His Blunt Take on Padres

San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado responded to MLB Hall of Famer David Ortiz's claim that San Diego will not overcome a 2-0 NLDS deficit. Ortiz stated on FOX Sports that the series is over for the Padres after they blew a lead to lose 4-3 to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. Machado expressed confidence in his team, asserting they are ready to fight through adversity and stage another comeback.

The Padres surrendered a 3-2 lead in the ninth inning when reliever Mason Miller loaded the bases and allowed a walk-off two-run single to Jackson Chourio. Facing elimination in the best-of-five series, San Diego returns to Petco Park for Game 3 on Tuesday looking to repeat their regular-season resilience.
