San Diego Padres closer Mason Miller and Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy have dismissed speculation that Miller was tipping pitches during his Game 2 blown save. After internet screenshots and videos raised questions about visible grips and runner signals, Miller emphasized that his own poor command and three ninth-inning walks caused the breakdown rather than any tipped pitches.
Murphy flatly denied Milwaukee picked up tells, while Padres manager Craig Stammen suggested Miller's multi-inning workload contributed to his erratic control. With the Brewers leading the National League Division Series 2-0 heading into Game 3, Miller noted he has no plans to overhaul his delivery.
