This would be a twist!

Wakefield Trinity winger Lachlan Walmsley has revealed his first transfer interest ahead of becoming a free agent, with former Halifax teammate Louis Jouffret encouraging him to join French side Avignon. Walmsley is set to depart Wakefield as the club admitted they likely cannot retain his services for the 2027 season.
The Scotland international noted that his status on the overseas quota complicates his market options across Super League clubs. After transitioning from the Championship to winning a Super League title with Wakefield in two years under coach Daryl Powell, Walmsley expressed contentment regarding his future opportunities.
