Villarreal forward Tani Oluwaseyi stated he welcomes the fierce competition for minutes in Jesse Marsch's Canada attack ahead of Tuesday's friendly against the United States at Allianz Field. The former Minnesota United striker highlighted that the deep talent pool is proof of the national program's progress, despite his own limited playing time during the current international window.
Oluwaseyi faced increased competition after playing 27 minutes off the bench against Peru following a 1-0 win over Chile where he did not feature. Marsch's options continue to expand with the form of Jonathan David, Cyle Larin, and Daniel Jebbison, as well as a maiden senior call-up for Minnesota United forward Marcus Caldeira.
