South Africa legend ‘confused’ by Lyle Foster’s move to the MLS
South Africa legend Quinton Fortune expressed his confusion over Lyle Foster's recent loan departure from Burnley to MLS club Houston Dynamo. Foster, 26, left Turf Moor in the summer on an initial loan deal that includes an option to buy for £5m. Fortune stated that the striker has the quality to play in Europe and believes he is too young to make the transition Stateside.
Foster struggled for regular playing time and goals at Burnley, concluding his spell with 12 goals in 100 total appearances across league and cup competitions. He made his Houston Dynamo debut in late September during a 2-0 loss to Kansas City, with Fortune urging him to eventually return to European football.
