Smith was the only woman of color in the NFL’s C-suite.

Dasha Smith, one of the highest-ranking female executives in sports, is resigning from her role at the NFL. Smith joined the league in 2019 as executive vice president and chief administrative officer, overseeing areas including human resources, social responsibility, IT, and data and analytics. Her departure was officially announced to staff by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in an internal memo on Friday.
During her tenure, Smith managed key committees and helped establish the league's Accelerator Program for minority coaches and executives. As the only woman of color in the NFL's C-suite, her exit leaves executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent as the sole person of color remaining at that leadership level.
