Ruairi McConville was left stitched up after Northern Ireland's 0-0 draw with Georgia on Monday night, but the Norwich City defender has been one of the big winners of this Nations League international window

Defender Ruairi McConville stated he is ready to play wherever manager Michael O'Neill needs him as he targets staying in the Northern Ireland team following a 0-0 draw against Georgia. The 21-year-old stepped in for injured defender Dan Ballard, helping Northern Ireland record four consecutive clean sheets and reach eight points at the top of their Nations League group.
During the match, McConville hit the crossbar and earned a late penalty after receiving a boot to the face from Nodar Lominadze, though Giorgi Mamardashvili saved Isaac Price's spot-kick. McConville required stitches following the final whistle as Northern Ireland now turn their focus to remaining fixtures against Ukraine and Hungary.
