Patrick Reed expressed pride in earning his path back to the PGA Tour through competitive results on the DP World Tour. After opting not to re-sign with LIV Golf, the 36-year-old American has positioned himself to secure a PGA Tour card for 2027 by leading the season-long Race to Dubai standings ahead of Rory McIlroy.
Reed stated that former LIV players should only regain PGA Tour access through merit. Following earlier victories in Dubai and Qatar, Reed is returning from a hand injury to compete at the Spanish Open in Madrid.
