Udinese striker Idrissa Gueye has undergone surgery for an ankle fracture and is expected to miss at least three months of action. The 20-year-old Senegal international sustained the serious right ankle injury while scoring during a friendly match against Pogon Stettino in Poland.
Udinese confirmed the operation was performed by Professor Van Dijk at the San Rossore clinic in Pisa. Gueye, who joined from Metz for an initial €4m loan followed by a €6m permanent purchase, has scored one goal in six competitive appearances for the club this season.
