Young striker Nicolò Tresoldi confirmed he turned down a senior call-up from Germany manager Jürgen Klopp to maintain his current focus on the Germany U-21 team. The 21-year-old forward revealed he held a positive conversation with Klopp after declining the invitation, expressing gratitude for the manager's understanding.
Tresoldi also disclosed that Italy head coach Roberto Mancini contacted him regarding his international future. Despite interest from both senior national teams, Tresoldi stated he is temporarily shelving any international allegiance decisions to concentrate on his performances with Germany's U-21 squad.
