Jesse Marsch wears his heart on his sleeve, and the players and fans of the Canadian men’s national team love him for it. Tuesday night’s Canada-United States clash at Allianz Field could be another emotionally-charged matchup between the two nations…

Canada men’s national team players have praised head coach Jesse Marsch for seamlessly fitting into the squad's established culture of brotherhood ahead of a friendly against the United States at Allianz Field. Forward Tani Oluwaseyi and goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair highlighted Marsch's willingness to fiercely defend his players, pointing back to his red card during the Concacaf Nations League match against the Americans 18 months prior.
Marsch noted that the rivalry with the United States is stronger than ever following Canada's continued rise in Concacaf. In addition to his fiery sideline presence, St. Clair emphasized that Marsch has focused on the broader scope of Canadian soccer by addressing youth camps, regional scouting, and long-term development.
