After months of preparation and a frustrating preseason injury, L’Heureux is eager to finally bring his gritty, high-energy game to Colorado.

Colorado Avalanche forward Zach L’Heureux has confirmed he is healthy and ready to make his team debut after recovering from a preseason lower-body injury. The 23-year-old was forced to miss Colorado's first two games of the season following four months of offseason preparation, but he has completed a quick rehabilitation and is prepared to rejoin the active lineup.
Colorado acquired L’Heureux alongside Fedor Svechkov from the Nashville Predators during an offseason trade that sent Jack Drury to Nashville. A former first-round pick who led all NHL rookies with 198 hits in the 2024-25 season, L’Heureux aims to contribute physical energy, two-way play, and penalty-killing support.
