Five points in two games earned Cole Beaudoin a ticket to New York. Now the question is whether he can force his way into the lineup for good.

The New York Rangers have recalled center prospect Cole Beaudoin from the Hartford Wolf Pack while placing forward Joe Veleno on injured reserve. The roster maneuver follows defenseman Matthew Robertson being placed on waivers on Monday. Beaudoin, acquired in the Vincent Trocheck trade, earned the promotion after recording one goal and four assists in two AHL games.
Blueshirt Banter writer Roberto Solis-Byxbee expressed concern over Chris Drury's roster management, arguing Beaudoin might benefit more from extended AHL development. However, Beaudoin could potentially make his NHL debut as early as Tuesday's game against the New York Islanders.
