Jalen Suggs is a bell weather for the Orlando Magic. He is looking to get more consistent and efficient to help the team take a leap this season.

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs has identified consistency and efficiency as his primary targets heading into the 2026-27 season. Speaking during Media Day under new head coach Sean Sweeney, Suggs emphasized the need to avoid drastic performance swings, improve his ball-handling, and refine his playmaking as he takes on greater point guard responsibilities.
Suggs averaged 13.8 points and 5.5 assists per game last season but shot just 33.9 percent from 3-point range and struggled during the playoffs. After undergoing knee surgery the prior year, Suggs enjoyed an uninterrupted offseason of training, though an illness is expected to sideline him for Wednesday's preseason opener.
