San Antonio already knows who sits at the top of its roster. Victor Wembanyama is the franchise centerpiece, but the next spot is less settled. De'Aaron Fox brings years of experience, Stephon Castle has already taken on a major role…

According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst on The Hoop Collective Podcast, the San Antonio Spurs internally view Dylan Harper as their second-best player behind franchise centerpiece Victor Wembanyama. This internal evaluation places the young guard ahead of established backcourt teammates De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle, reflecting high projections for his overall ceiling despite his developing role on the team.
Harper averaged 11.8 points in 69 games as a rookie before increasing his production to 14.1 points per game across 23 playoff contests during San Antonio's run to the NBA Finals. Windhorst noted that other league front offices share a similar high evaluation of the former second overall pick.
