San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is reportedly avoiding American media interviews ahead of the upcoming season as he looks to eliminate distractions following a painful NBA Finals defeat. According to reporter Michael C. Wright, the 22-year-old French center does not want to discuss the loss and is refusing access to all US outlets, with an interview on 60 Minutes serving as the lone exception.
The Spurs reached the Finals last season but suffered a 4-1 series defeat against Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks. As San Antonio looks ahead to the new campaign, the roster has added veteran forward Tobias Harris and aims to elevate Dylan Harper to support Wembanyama's title pursuit.
