Baltimore Ravens tight end Durham Smythe will miss the remainder of the 2026 NFL season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon. The injury occurred during Baltimore's 24-18 victory against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The 31-year-old had started all four games during his first season with the franchise, playing predominantly as a blocking tight end on offense and special teams.

Smythe joined Baltimore on a one-year, $3 million contract following a stint with the Chicago Bears. With Smythe sidelined, head coach Jesse Minter indicated the team would rely on its tight end depth behind starter Mark Andrews, including rookies Matt Hibner and Josh Cuevas, along with practice squad member Nick Vannett.
