SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – It often takes longer than a couple years for a Draft class to make its impact felt at the Major League level, but the draftees chosen at the top in 2024 were no ordinary group.

Baltimore Orioles outfield prospect Vance Honeycutt is utilizing the 2026 Arizona Fall League to refine his hitting skills and make up for development time lost to minor injuries. Playing for the Peoria Javelinas, the 23-year-old showcased his signature tools on Monday by hitting a 106.6 mph home run, stealing a base, and making a full-sprint catch in center field.
Selected 22nd overall in the 2024 MLB Draft, Honeycutt continues to face high strikeout rates despite boasting elite power, speed, and defense. After struggling with High-A Frederick, he finished the regular season strongly at Double-A Chesapeake, batting .288 with an .997 OPS across 20 games.
