One F1 driver is already facing a back-of-the-grid start in Malaysia. Here's why…

Three Formula 1 drivers are set to serve grid penalties at the upcoming race at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Racing Bulls driver Arvid Lindblad will start from the back of the grid after exceeding his permitted power unit component allocation for the season. Red Bull's Isack Hadjar and Alpine's Franco Colapinto will each serve five-place grid drops.
Colapinto received his penalty for causing a multi-car collision involving Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris at the previous round in Baku. Hadjar confirmed on Thursday that he will also take a five-place hit. The race marks a challenging circuit debut for rookie Lindblad, who is among twelve drivers on the current grid competing at Sepang for the first time.
