The Roosters will be on the lookout for two new wingers after fan favourite Daniel Tupou announced his retirement.
Sydney Roosters veteran Daniel Tupou has officially announced his retirement from rugby league following his side's grand final victory over Newcastle. Tupou concluded his 15-season NRL career having played 307 games, all for the Roosters, and finished as a four-time premiership winner. He departs the sport as the greatest try-scorer in the club's history with 198 career tries.
Roosters head coach Trent Robinson praised Tupou as a selfless leader who revolutionized the aerial game. Tupou's retirement, alongside Mark Nawaqanitawase's return to rugby union, means the Roosters will enter next season needing two new starting wingers, with Manly back Reuben Garrick set to arrive and Tommy Talau having recently signed an extension.
