After finally getting a day of rest, the Utah Mammoth came into New Jersey facing a New Jersey Devils team looking to get a big win after a horrible 6-0…

The Utah Mammoth earned their third win of the season with a 5-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday in Newark. Utah's special teams set the tone early, with Clayton Keller scoring his first goal of the season on the power play before Nick Schmaltz added his league-leading fifth goal of the year. Vincent Trocheck later sealed the victory by scoring his first goal for the franchise in the third period.
Devils forward Jesper Boqvist had pulled New Jersey within one before Utah responded with disciplined defense and strong goaltending from Karel Vejmelka. Utah also dealt with an upper-body injury to defenseman Mikhail Sergachev, who left after being struck by a cleared puck.
