After the Islanders erased a two-goal lead in the second period, Oliver Bjorkstrand's power-play goal put the Rangers back in front for good and pushed their win streak to four.
Alexis Lafrenière recorded a hat trick to guide the New York Rangers to a 5-2 victory over the New York Islanders. The win marked the Rangers' fourth consecutive triumph, extending their early-season momentum. Oliver Bjorkstrand also contributed significantly by scoring two goals, including a critical power-play marker in the second period.
The Islanders initially rallied back from a two-goal deficit with scores from Bo Horvat and Calum Ritchie. However, Bjorkstrand's second goal restored the lead before Lafrenière sealed the contest with two empty-net goals in the final minutes.
