The Lombardy Regional Administrative Court has rejected five appeals against the sale of the San Siro stadium and its land to AC Milan and Inter. Four appeals were ruled inadmissible and one was dismissed on the merits, clearing a legal dispute that started in 2022. While parties can appeal to the Council of State by April 6, the ruling allows the €2.3bn stadium development led by owners RedBird Capital and Oaktree to accelerate.
The clubs plan to present new renderings designed by Foster + Partners and Manica in late October or early November. The overall project includes a €700m, 71,500-seat stadium, a hotel, offices, and partial demolition of the current San Siro. The clubs target final approval by summer 2027 and aim to complete construction by June 2031, ahead of Euro 2032.
