After picking up an injury just two matches into her first pre-season with Wolves, Layla Proctor has found an alternative way to make the most of her less-than-ideal start to life in the West Midlands.

Wolverhampton Wanderers player Layla Proctor has embraced photography to stay connected with her team while recovering from ankle ligament damage. The 21-year-old sustained the injury in August during a pre-season match against Bristol City and underwent surgery six weeks ago. To combat the isolation of rehabilitation, Proctor began capturing morning arrivals and training sessions at Compton Park for the club's media channels.
Proctor is progressing well in her recovery, having recently transitioned out of her protective boot and crutches. She is expected to resume training on the pitch by November as Wolves Women compete in their debut WSL 2 campaign.
