The Story in 60 Seconds

Lewis Hamilton received an official warning from stewards after impeding Audi driver Gabriel Bortoleto during second practice at the Sepang International Circuit. Hamilton moved onto the racing line at low speed approaching Turn 9, forcing Bortoleto to take evasive action on the rumble strip. The incident left Bortoleto frustrated, while Hamilton reported over the radio that his view was impaired due to a damaged right-hand mirror.

Stewards accepted the broken mirror and Bortoleto's out lap status as mitigating factors, handing Hamilton a standard warning. However, Scuderia Ferrari HP was fined €10,000 for failing to provide radio warnings to Hamilton despite knowing his visibility was compromised.
