The Blackhawks have the pieces to acquire Simon Edvinsson, but do they have the desire to land the defenseman?

Nate Duffett of Blackhawk Up argues that the Chicago Blackhawks should consider pursuing Detroit Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson in a trade. Duffett suggests that acquiring the 23-year-old blueliner would solidify Chicago's defensive core alongside Bowen Byram and Artyom Levshunov, providing a balanced workload on the left side of their blue line.
To make a competitive offer, Duffett proposes that general manager Kyle Davidson could package defenseman Kevin Korchinski, forward Teuvo Teravainen, prospect Marek Vanacker, and a first-round pick acquired from the Edmonton Oilers. This hypothetical package aims to balance Detroit's desire for immediate NHL contributors with future assets.
