LeBrun says that Connor Hellebuyck won't play for the Edmonton Oilers and Wyshynski wonders about if he could return to the Winnipeg Jets.

Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck will reportedly not play for the Edmonton Oilers or any Canadian team, according to Pierre LeBrun on TSN 1050 OverDrive. While the Carolina Hurricanes and Buffalo Sabres remain linked to Hellebuyck, Carolina reportedly believes the Winnipeg Jets lack leverage to force an increased trade offer.
Meanwhile, analysts Greg Wyshynski and Jeff Marek discussed whether financial losses could eventually push Hellebuyck to return to the Jets. Marek noted that Winnipeg general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff currently faces no pressure to make a trade, suggesting December could become the next critical juncture.
