Ben Johnson was welcomed warmly into life at Stoke City so he made sure he offered the same hospitality to new signings who joined after him this summer

Stoke City defender Ben Johnson has reflected on the squad coming together following a busy summer transfer window ahead of their upcoming trip to Bolton Wanderers. Johnson highlighted how he helped new American signings Luca Bombino and Jack McGlynn settle in by carpooling to training from their shared hotel, while also praising the positive culture encouraged by manager Mark Robins at Clayton Wood.
Johnson noted the team is gelling well after 10 summer arrivals altered the squad significantly from former manager Steven Schumacher's tenure. He also mentioned a family connection to Robins, noting that his second cousin Paul Parker previously played with the Stoke manager at Manchester United.
