Dermot Desmond faces awkward questions over Celtic board appointments

Celtic Supporters Limited (CSL) has challenged Celtic and major shareholder Dermot Desmond over the process behind recent boardroom appointments. The supporter group raised questions regarding whether the club's Nomination Committee followed internal governance rules when recommending Mark Keane and Raymond Buchanan to the board on September 18.

Following the prior departures of former committee members Peter Lawwell and Tom Allison, Desmond was reportedly the only listed member remaining from the 2025 Annual Report. CSL has called for clarity on whether replacements were appointed to meet the committee's required quorum of members before making official recommendations.
