Charles Leclerc salvaged fourth place after an early slick tyre gamble and opening lap chaos threatened to ruin his race.

Charles Leclerc reflected on his fourth-place finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix after Ferrari overcame an early strategic misstep. Both Leclerc and teammate Lewis Hamilton started on slick tires in wet conditions, dropping outside the points before Leclerc pitted for intermediate tires on Lap 3. A Lap 6 Safety Car allowed Leclerc to close the gap on the field and mount a recovery drive.
Following the race, Leclerc explained that extreme bad luck early on balanced out with fortunate circumstances later, allowing Ferrari to finish in third and fourth. He defended the team's decision not to split strategies, noting that splitting tire choices inevitably leaves one driver with a severely compromised race.
