This morning, the Canadiens held an optional practice. Rumor has it that Gavin McKenna asked not to attend, even though it wasn't his team's practice. But that obviously needs to be verified… Who was there?
Goaltender Jacob Fowler is expected to start in net for the Montreal Canadiens following morning practice indications. With Samuel Montembeault sidelined by an injury sustained in practice, Fowler looks set to step in, giving fellow goaltender Jakub Dobes rest.
The Canadiens held an optional practice with only six skaters on the ice, including Zachary Bolduc, Florian Xhekaj, Lane Hutson, Jayden Struble, Adam Engstrom, and Kaiden Guhle. Oliver Kapanen did not skate as he remains day-to-day, while forward Ivan Demidov is sidelined for two to four weeks.
