Greenway has made a good first impression on the Blackhawks by playing a simple yet effective game.

Jordan Greenway has emerged as a key contributor for the Chicago Blackhawks after arriving from the Buffalo Sabres alongside Bowen Byram. Playing alongside Cole Smith and Ryan Greene on the fourth line, the 29-year-old forward scored the team's first goal of the season against the Vegas Golden Knights on September 29. Through four games, Greenway has recorded one point, a plus-1 rating, and leads the team with nine shots and eight hits.
Blackhawks head coach Jeff Blashill praised Greenway's veteran accountability and locker room presence, noting their prior experience together at the World Championships. Greenway emphasized that keeping their style predictable and simple has driven the line's early success, with Natural Stat Trick reporting that the trio has not allowed a goal across nearly 42 minutes of ice time together.
