Nick Rallis Preps For Lions With Familiarity Of Drew Petzing

Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Nick Rallis is preparing to face his former colleague Drew Petzing when the Detroit Lions visit on Sunday. The two coached together in Minnesota and served as Arizona coordinators from 2023 to 2025 before Petzing became Detroit's offensive coordinator. Rallis noted that while their history offers insight, he must filter relevant nuances given Detroit's personnel and scheme changes.

Petzing stated that going against Rallis will be exciting, calling his three seasons in Arizona a major career step. Detroit's offense currently ranks fifth in scoring at 29.8 points per game, while Arizona's defense ranks 29th, allowing 29.3 points per game.
