Roughly 17 years ago, Alexi Casilla gave Minnesota Twins fans a moment they will never forget.

In the 2009 AL Central tiebreaker, Alexi Casilla delivered a walk-off RBI single in the 12th inning to give the Minnesota Twins a 6-5 victory over the Detroit Tigers. The win secured the division title and sent Minnesota to the American League Division Series. Carlos Gómez scored the winning run off Tigers reliever Fernando Rodney after the teams finished the regular season tied at 86-76.
The contest featured dramatic swings, including home runs from Detroit's Miguel Cabrera and Magglio Ordóñez, as well as Minnesota's Jason Kubel and Orlando Cabrera. Detroit led in the tenth inning before Matt Tolbert tied the score, setting up Casilla's game-winning hit in the 12th. The Twins subsequently fell to the New York Yankees in the ALDS.
