The Seattle Kraken will be without Ryan Lindgren for roughly the next month and a half after placing the veteran defenseman on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
The Seattle Kraken announced Thursday that veteran defenseman Ryan Lindgren will be sidelined for four to six weeks due to an upper-body injury. Lindgren was placed on injured reserve following an injury suffered against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night. He exited the contest seconds after the opening faceoff after being hit from behind by Vegas forward Marc Gatcomb, who received a boarding minor.
Lindgren had been skating on Seattle's third defensive pairing alongside Cale Fleury before the injury. With Lindgren expected to be out until early November, the Kraken are likely to turn to left-shot defenseman Josh Mahura or 24-year-old rookie Ville Ottavainen to fill the open spot on the blue line.
