New Zealand has suffered a double blow ahead of their T20I series against India, with batter Mark Chapman and all-rounder Zak Foulkes ruled out due to injuries. Chapman is sidelined with a hamstring issue, while Foulkes is unavailable because of a hip flexor problem. To fill the vacant roster spots, the Black Caps have called up pace-bowling all-rounder Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner.
The roster changes come amid a broader injury crisis for both sides. New Zealand was already without Rachin Ravindra, while India is missing rested pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah alongside Hardik Pandya and Harshit Rana. Despite the absences, Mitchell Santner will lead the New Zealand squad against an Indian team captained by Shreyas Iyer.
