LeBron James showcased his passing ability in his first action wearing a Philadelphia uniform, taking just one official shot but compiling five assists on Thursday in his first preseason game with the 76ers.
LeBron James made his preseason debut for the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, recording 10 points and five assists in a 114-108 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. The 41-year-old took only one field-goal attempt, a second-quarter layup, while shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line before sitting out the entire second half.
James joined Philadelphia's revamped starting lineup alongside fellow newcomer Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, and Joel Embiid. The 22-time All-Star signed a two-year, $8 million free agent deal with a player option with the 76ers in July after spending last season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
