The Utah Jazz have announced the signing of center Mohamed Wague to add frontcourt depth following an injury to Jusuf Nurkic. The 6-foot-10 big man joins Utah after completing his senior collegiate season at Oklahoma, where he recorded 55 total blocks during the 2025-26 season.
Wague previously represented Mali's men's national team at the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket tournament, earning a silver medal across five appearances. Writer James Hansen argues that investing in athletic developmental centers like Wague is a smart roster strategy for the franchise.
