Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson believes it is time for football to move on from Southampton's disciplinary case after questioning why the process took so long to reach a conclusion.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson stated that football must move on from Southampton's 'Spygate' scandal following the conclusion of their disciplinary proceedings. Southampton head coach Tonda Eckert received a six-week ban suspended until next season, after the club admitted to three EFL breaches for spying on Middlesbrough and two other opponents.
Southampton were previously disqualified from the Championship play-off final and docked four points this season. Parkinson, whose seventh-placed Wrexham missed out on promotion play-offs by two points, noted the club accepted the ruling and argued Southampton suffered enough by missing out on the Premier League.
