Dustin Poirier will do whatever it takes to help his teammates.
Former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier revealed that he once helped a teammate cheat the scale during an official weigh-in in Mississippi. Speaking on the Deep Waters podcast, Poirier explained that his friend was over the required weight limit, prompting him to intervene behind the privacy towel.
Poirier recounted standing behind the towel while his friend was naked, admitting he physically lifted him slightly so the scale would register the required weight. Poirier, who retired following a bout against Max Holloway, also acknowledged that he misses competing and has not ruled out a return.
