Janibek Alimkhanuly Meets Jacob Bank for Vacant WBO Title

The WBO has officially confirmed terms are set for Janibek Alimkhanuly to face Jacob Bank for the vacant WBO Super Middleweight World Title. Alimkhanuly moves up to 168 pounds for another world championship opportunity after Hamzah Sheeraz vacated the title instead of defending it. The bout is reportedly headed to Copenhagen in December, though the exact date, venue, and broadcaster have yet to be formally confirmed.

The contest provides Bank with a home-soil advantage in Denmark for his first world title shot, testing Alimkhanuly's middleweight firepower against a natural super middleweight. The fight serves as a key test for Alimkhanuly's ability to replicate his previous middleweight success in a heavier division.
