The new fans' favourite has barely broke a sweat in a Gers shirt after settling seamlessly into life at Ibrox

Rangers defender Olwethu Makhanya revealed he received direct messages of praise and advice on Instagram from club legend Richard Gough. The 22-year-old South African centre-back explained that Gough, a friend of his agent, reached out to congratulate him on his strong performances since arriving in Glasgow.
Makhanya joined Rangers from MLS side Philadelphia Union in a £3 million transfer and was recently named SPFL Player of the Month for September. He credited his defensive partnership with Manny Fernandez and guidance from mentor Mark Haskins for his quick adaptation under manager Derek McInnes.
